Individual Counselling

While I also work with men, I primarily work with women (ages 19-45) who find themselves struggling with emotional management, unhealthy patterns, maintaining and enforcing healthy boundaries in their lives and in their relationships, and relational issues such as challenges with healthy communication and navigating conflict in a healthy way.

As Caribbean people, navigating these areas can be challenging for a number of reasons, some being a result of our culture as well as our family upbringings, and it’s my hope that as we explore these aspects together, you as my client, are better able and equipped to navigate through them in a way that is healthy and effective. I believe that we can all benefit from some support and a listening ear from time to time, because one point or another, we all need help in some way as we navigate the ups and downs of life.

It is my hope that as we work together, I can walk alongside you as you go through your journey, and hopefully make you feel a little less alone, and a little more seen and understood. I prioritize aiding you in learning more about yourself and helping you discover how you can be kinder with yourself and exercise more self compassion. As we work together, my hope is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself possible, and to aid you in having the strong, healthy relationships you deserve. If you would like to have me walk alongside you on your journey to healing, deeper self discovery and fuller and more enriching relationships, please feel free to contact me.

Couples’ Counselling

I work with Millennial couples (ages 27-38), with a primary focus of aiding you and your partner/spouse to deepen your intimacy and strengthen your communication. I love Couples’ therapy and I continue to see the rich benefit in couples making the choice to pursue it.

Sometimes couples can get stuck in cycles that are just no longer working for their relationship, but they either become so comfortable that they don’t know what to do, or they become frustrated and feel as though they don’t know what else they can do. While couples’ therapy helps to deepen your connection as a couple and strengthen your relationship, it can also be a beneficial resource in aiding you navigate if and how to separate in a way that’s kind and honouring to both of you.

A part of couples’ therapy is also being mindful and aware of your own individuality - meaning your identity, your strengths, and your weaknesses, and developing an awareness and understanding of how these various factors show up in and impact your relationship. Prioritizing tending to yourself individually just as you try to tend to your relationship helps to fuel your relationship and your connection as a couple, and that’s something we explore together.

If you’ve found yourself in a position where you and your partner/spouse may be feeling hopeless, in constant conflict, consistently lacking healthy communication, or you’d just like a tune up for your relationship, my hope is to hold and create space for both of you in an effort to uncover the roots of the challenges within your relationship and to aid you in experiencing more connection and intimacy within your relationship. Additionally, if you’re desirous of navigating whether you want to remain together or pursue separation, my hope is to offer a kind and open space for you as explore your decision together as a couple.

If you want to strengthen your relationship, improve your communication, grow more together as a couple, or explore the possibility of how you can separate well, please feel free to contact me.
